On Tuesday 4 December, the Hatch End Ladies who play in the David Lloyd Northwood Mid-week Daytime League, being top of Division 3, were invited to a Presentation Day at David Lloyd Northwood, where they received a plaque and a cheque for £120 made out to St Luke's Hospice.
The tournament is a Ladies Charity League, run on similar lines to our own daytime Hatch End Ladies Charity League. There are 4 divisions and the winners of each division took part in some fun tennis, before having lunch and then being presented with their cheques and plaques. Our ladies decided to choose St Lukes Hospice, as it is a local charity.
A photograph of the team, Michelle, Carol, Janet, Ros, Sue and Jenny, with Sue Pannaman who runs the tournament will be published soon on our website.. Thanks also go to Hilary, Jean,Belinda and Shirena who played in some of the matches.
